At ShineForte Elementary School, we value and embrace each child’s unique interests. Our creative programs make learning exciting and relevant for every child. Our focus fosters a love of learning and curiosity while ensuring the children in our care are happy and prepared for academic excellence.
Your child’s bright future starts with an early education. From curriculum to teachers, our approach to early education inspires a love of learning. Whether they’re building a skyscraper, cooking an imaginary feast, or healing a teddy bear’s runny nose, your child will build confidence for life by having fun with friends of their age in our safe and supportive classrooms.
They’ll find teachers who believe in them and give them the freedom to be themselves, try something new, and make new friends. We place priority on health and safety because knowing your child is safe means you can feel safe. Our creche is the first introduction to a lifetime of learning, a journey that should start off on the right foot. Our playgroup combines learning experiences and structured play in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment, offering far more than just child care.
The focus of the nursery section is making sure each child is happy, thriving, and ready for what comes next. The teachers are enthusiastic about developing lifelong learners. They genuinely care about children and have the sensitivity and knowledge to understand a child’s individual developmental needs. They take the time to help each child discover, in their own way, a fascinating world of play and learning.
Our Elementary school is designed to support diversity, inclusion, and belonging, which result in a community of learners where children feel emotionally and physically safe. Classrooms are supplied with a range of materials to provoke children’s questions, ideas, and attitudes about their own identities and about differences and similarities, among others. So, whether building a tower in the construction center, playing make-believe with friends, or conducting a science experiment, your child will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they’re developing important skills.
We consider parents to be our partners and place a premium on two-way communication. We make sure you know what skills your child is working on, how they’re progressing, what they are loving most, and even whether they ate all their lunch. We also make it easy for you to let us know your child’s needs and preferences. It’s time to take the next step in your child’s educational journey.
Creche (6weeks – 18 months)
Our program provides the foundation for future language and social development. In our unique infant room, your child is encouraged to explore. Our infant curriculum includes exposure to classical music and age-appropriate play activities.
Beginning with a soft and safe indoor play area and moving to a specially designed shaded outdoor terrace, your infant interacts with and discovers the wonders of the world. Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and ready to explore their world.
Playgroup 1 (18 months – 3 years)
Their world is opening up, so we bring a world of learning to them! This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity.
That’s why we offer a ton of books and toys and bring their artwork down to kids eye level. They’re on the move! We have a safe and fun environment for toddlers to explore. Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day.
Playgroup 2 (3–4 years)
Our preschool curriculum encourages learning through letters and numbers, with a focus on building literacy skills. Our teachers nurture children’s cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and creative development. Children build confidence through fun, engaging activities, while our teachers partner with you to build your child’s desire to learn and explore. Our program also introduces your child to the wonders of computers and learning through engaging educational software.
Nursery 1(Pre- Kindergartens) (4–5 years)
When you walk into one of our Nursery 1 (pre-K) classrooms, you’ll see artwork and writing displayed around the room.
Labels are everywhere to help kids connect letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families in our community. Our prekindergarten curriculum further prepares your child for school and future educational success by building literacy, math, science, art, and motor skills. Social skills are further developed in daily group sharing and discussion time. Children’s confidence and curiosity continue to build through field trips and curriculum-based adventures.
As the day draws to an end, children enjoy group games that include music, sensory play, art, and more! The end of the day is brought to a close with story time!
Nursery 2 (Kindergartens) (5–6 years)
Their futures are looking bright! With us, they’ll be more than prepared for school. Welcome to Nursery 2 (kindergartens), the gateway to grade school and everything that comes next! Our Nursery 2 programs have small class sizes and curriculums that mix learning and fun.
Primary One (6-year-olds)
Our Primary One program marks the exciting beginning of formal education, fostering a stimulating environment where young minds embark on a journey of comprehensive development. Through interactive learning experiences, students build essential foundational skills encompassing language, mathematics, creativity, and social interaction. Our dedicated educators create a nurturing atmosphere, encouraging curiosity and active participation. With a focus on holistic growth, we lay the groundwork for a lifelong love of learning, empowering children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
